PONK: The Project Management CMS

We began developing PONK because of the frustrating limitations widely-popular Content Management Systems such as Wordpress and Joomla place on clients in order to create a more user-friendly environment. These restrictions affected the level of customization and functionality that we desired for our clients and own purposes. So, we decided to start from scratch; and after 3 years of development and testing, we will soon be ready to release the PONK Project Management CMS under the GNU GPL-3.0 license.
For the main scripting language, we chose PHP due to its security, functionality, wide-availability, and thorough documentation. When exploring databasing options, we settled on a NoSQL approach. MongoDB became the obvious choice because of its accessibility, scalability, reliability, and intuitive data structuring. For more info on MongoDB and its requirements, check out their Official Site. Furthermore, built-in functions and constants used by the PONK CMS are generally available for personalized development. To support the accessible use, extensibility, and customization of our software, we have written thorough Documentation to explain the functionality and proper use of applicable features.
